Talenta<\/strong>, a wealth management firm based in Barcelona<\/strong>, has launched its second fund aimed at investing in Spanish private equity funds<\/strong>, which, in turn, invest in established companies looking to accelerate their growth.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The firm \u2013 chaired by Jordi Jofre<\/strong> and led by Carlos Cabanas<\/strong> \u2013 has registered the new vehicle in the Mercantile Registry<\/strong> under the name Masterspain II<\/strong>. It is still pending authorization from the Spanish National Securities Market Commission (CNMV)<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“Our goal is to raise \u20ac10 million,”<\/strong> says Jofre, who is confident of reaching this amount in the coming months. With this initiative, Talenta<\/strong> aims to offer its clients the opportunity to invest in a diversified manner across different Spanish private equity<\/strong> firms. The objective is to allocate capital to around ten funds over the next three years. This activity will be carried out alongside the first vehicle, Masterspain I<\/strong>, launched last year, which has so far secured \u20ac7 million out of the \u20ac10 million<\/strong> target.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The company expects strong interest from its clients, primarily family investment firms in Catalonia<\/strong>, and to a lesser extent, from Valencia<\/strong> and the Balearic Islands<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Jofre states that Talenta<\/strong> is in a strong position. In 2024<\/strong>, the firm closed the year with a total of \u20ac1.7 billion<\/strong> in assets under management, while revenue grew 29%<\/strong>, reaching \u20ac6.5 million<\/strong>. Founded in 2009<\/strong>, the company has a team of 29 employees<\/strong>, distributed between its Barcelona<\/strong> headquarters and offices in Valencia<\/strong> and Palma<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Among its key services, Talenta<\/strong> specializes in financial and tax advisory<\/strong> for high-net-worth families. Additionally, its alternative investment<\/strong> activity is experiencing significant growth.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In fact, Talenta<\/strong> also manages the Mastertech I, II, and III<\/strong> funds, which invest in technology companies<\/strong>. In total, these funds manage approximately \u20ac30 million<\/strong>. Jofre notes that the strong performance of these vehicles will lead the company to launch new funds \u2013 Mastertech IV and V<\/strong> \u2013 this summer, with a goal of managing \u20ac40 million<\/strong>. “Technology investments can generate strong returns, especially in the early stages of emerging companies,”<\/strong> he says.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

With this strategy, Talenta<\/strong> continues to position itself as a key player in wealth management and alternative investment<\/strong> in Spain<\/strong>, focusing on diversification and financial innovation<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
