TALENTA WELCOMES MERCHE GRAU AS PARTNER AND BOARD MEMBER
The independent fund manager chaired by Jordi Jofre strengthens its leadership in Catalonia, reaching 1,567 million advised.
Talenta SGIIC incorporates Merche Grau in its team as partner and non-executive director. Grau, a leading professional in the sector, joins the team shortly before closing a record year, both in terms of turnover and assets advised, consolidating Talenta as a leader in the sector of independent asset managers in Catalonia.
With extensive professional experience in the financial and wealth advisory field in Spain, Merche Grau was General Manager at Banca March and was part of the Management Committee of Catalunya Caixa leading Private Banking and Asset Management. Earlier in her career, she held senior positions at Merrill Lynch and Credit Suisse. In the last 7 years she has been Director and member of the Management Committee of MdF Family Partners, managing the business of the entity in Catalonia. In addition, during this time she has been an independent director in several companies, including Trea AM, Boyser CP, Logisfashion, Elix Rental Housing Socimi and Grupo Elix. With a degree in Business Administration and Management and an MBA from ESADE, Mercedes Grau has an International Management Program at Bocconi University (Milan) and an International Management Program at Stockholm School of Economics (Sweden), specializing in International Finance.
Grau defines her new professional challenge as a commitment to a winning project: “With a long work experience, this is the beginning of a new exciting stage,” she says. “I am joining Talenta because I believe in the approach of this project. I have been working in the sector for many years and I know the needs of clients perfectly well,” she adds. Talenta currently manages 1,567 million euros, the highest figure since the company was founded. In addition, it will close this year with a record turnover of 6 million euros and will end 2024 with 21 regulated entities.
